The Appellate Tribunal is the body that hears appeals against the Board's orders. Under the Act it is the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT).
Any person aggrieved by an order or direction made by the Board under this Act may prefer an appeal before the Appellate Tribunal.
If a person disagrees with a Board order, they can appeal to the Appellate Tribunal, which is the TDSAT. Appeals must be filed within sixty days.
The Tribunal functions, as far as practicable, as a digital office and aims to dispose of appeals within six months.
A company fined by the Board can appeal that penalty to the Appellate Tribunal within sixty days.
